Fantasy Faces

With the evolution of social media, people have become obsessed with images. Influencers curate a life online that may not reflect their actual life. "Fantasy Faces" explores the idea of the curated feed and the masks worn to create a fantasy life worthy of clicks and engagement. Using appropriated photographs from commercial photographers, I create a photo transfer onto wallpaper. The photo transfers are not always perfect - which represents a person's flaws. Each image is then re-imagined with collaged features and surroundings creating a fantasy persona.
