Faded Memories

In this personal body of work, I explore the rural property where I grew up just outside of Mason City, Iowa, and the faded memories of my childhood. The images were taken after the death of three family members: my father (1975), my mother (2008), and my brother (2022). By exploring my past, I examine the rural life that I left behind when I moved to New York City in 1989. A life that was filled with memories of a working farm that has also been left behind.
